How long does it take to set it up?

The installation of telephone lines as a Travel Counsellor can usually be organised within two weeks and can take place while you undertake your initial training programme.

 

Is there a cost associated with becoming a Travel Counsellor?

There is an initial one-off investment fee of £10,000 plus VAT for the Travel Counsellors franchise including the right to use the Travel Counsellors trademark and brand and covers the cost of thetravelacademy training programme; a laptop, training and set-up costs including telephone line and broadband. Thereafter there is a monthly administration fee of £40 plus VAT.

 

Can I choose my own hours?

Yes you can. The most important thing to us is that you devote enough time to the development of your client base to give your business a solid foundation.

 

Do I get ideas for marketing myself?

Yes, we help you develop a plan on how to market yourself in your area.

 

I’m concerned that I may feel isolated. Is there anything to help with that?

Yes, we have a range of systems in place to support you. There’s our intranet, TCTV weekly broadcasts, message boards and our regular roadshows held throughout the UK where you’ll meet fellow Travel Counsellors.

 

Is there anything that I can offer my customers as a Travel Counsellor, which sets me apart?

Yes, Travel Counsellors operates a unique Financial Trust which protects all clients bookings in the event of any supplier failure. You will also be able to offer your customers a unique choice and range of suppliers, including our own directly contracted hotels and air fares.
