Our unique and tailored programme includes the following six modules:
1. The Basics - the legal framework, use of IT, geography of the world and key destinations, travel law, the language of travel and the key
travel products.
2. Service and Sales - covering selling, service, listening skills, networking, proactive calling and up-selling. This will include practical
advice and handling real scenarios from existing Travel Counsellors.
3. Travel and Destinations - covering tailor made, cruise, groups, weddings and honeymoons and specialist travel areas and specialist
destinations.
4. Running Your Business - focusing on business planning, managing your finances and managing your profit margin.
5. Realising Your Dreams - focusing on goal setting, time management and attitude.
6. Marketing - Our 13 Golden Habits to Success cover growing your business, developing new enquiries, the power of PR and keeping in touch with
your customers.
At the end of the two week course you will be able to prepare tailor made itineraries and other scenarios involving customer
requirements; including dealing with live calls. We can then help give you the ability to develop these calls into profitable bookings on which to build your business.
On successful completion of the programme, and after our IT team
have set you up at home with all the relevant technology, you will be ready to play your part in the world’s most exciting industry. thetravelacademy
programme also includes at least one educational (sponsored trip to a resort) or a cruise ship visit in your first 12 months of being in business.
